4 steps to become a QAMP ®
Requirements Engineering
The first step in system development, Requirements Engineering, is critical for the success of a project.
The IREB® Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering certificate (Foundation Level) confirms that the owner is familiar with terms and definitions of Requirements Engineering and Management as well as that she/he is able to use the basic technologies and methods of Requirements Engineering.
Testing
Software systems are omnipresent, human life frequently depends on a frictionless and secure operation of software programs.
The ISTQB® Certified Tester certificate (Foundation Level) confirms that the owner is familiar with the process of planning, specification, operation of software testing, and logging of tests.
Specified Module
Software Quality Assurance encompasses the entire software development process (software life cycle), which includes processes such as Software Architecture, Test Management, Configuration Management, Project Management, or IT-Security Management. The third module focuses on specific problems in software development and can be tailored to the employees' work environment.

- iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture
- iSTQB® Certified Tester, Advanced Level - Test Manager
- iNTCCM® Certified Professional for Configuration Management
- iSQI® Certified Professional for Project Manager
- ISSECO® Certified Professional for Secure Software Secure Engineering Professional
Other certificates are to be recognized by iSQI.
Practical Experience
Theoretical knowledge is important. Practical experience is equally essential. The owner of the QAMP certificate has at least two years of professional experience in the field of software quality assurance. Experience needs to be updated and demonstrated annually.
(Alternatives: Acquisition of another certificate in the field of software quality assurance management, or a lecture given at an international conference, e.g. CONQUEST, SiGIST, SQC, STAREAST, STARWEST, SWISS TESTING DAY, SEETEST, EUROSTAR, TESTING & FINANCE and others on inquiry.)
Note:
In case the applicant (e.g. recent graduates) is not able to submit evidence of practical experience, the applicant will receive the status QAMP Bachelor. After working for at least two years in the field of quality assurance the QAMP Bachelor may apply for an upgrade to iSQI Quality Assurance Management Professional (QAMP).
