The QAMP applicant first of all needs to complete the certification in Requirements Engineering, Software-Test and in the discipline of his choice. Upon completion of all 3 certificates, the applicant needs to proof two years of practical experience. Then he or she will be certified as “iSQI® Quality Assurance Management Professional (QAMP®)”.

In case the participant (e.g. recent graduates) is not able to submit evidence of practical experience the participant will receive the status iSQI® Quality Assurance Management Professional (QAMP®) – Bachelor. After completion of the two years of practical experience, the participant may apply for an upgrade to iSQI® Quality Assurance Management Professional (QAMP®).

The QAMP® certificate is valid for 12 month after the date of issue.

To extend the validity for another year (Re-Certification)

1. practical work experience must be demonstrated, or
2. acquisition of another certificate in the field of software quality, or
3. a lecture given at an international conference, e.g. CONQUEST, EUROSTAR, SEETEST, SiGIST, STAREAST, STARWEST, SQC, SWISS TESTING DAY, TESTING & FINANCE, others on inquiry), recognized by iSQI.

"Certificates of other certification bodies - e.g. ASTQB, ISEB, SAQ and all ISTQB accepted certification bodies - will be recognized as well. Recognition of equivalent certificates is possible (on request). In general equivalent certificates have to be independent of product and producer, internationally accepted, ISO 17024: 2003 compliant."
